In today's test we'll ask you this Infiray Finder FH50R V2 In our Infiray Finder FH35R V2 test we have already given you the Pendant with smaller lens presented, which is the successor model of the Infiray Finder FH35R represented.

Why the FH50R is now also called a “V2” can only be speculated, because: There was no first versionWe'll tell you what the device can do and who it's suitable for in the test - read it now!

The Infiray Finder FH50R V2 test

The scope of delivery of the Infiray Finder FH50R V2

As always, we start our test with this What's in the Box.

The Accessories des Infiray Finder FH50R V2 is as follows:

  • A tote bag
  • A Quick Start Guide in German (you will receive a detailed operating manual from us by email or via your customer account)
  • A carrying strap for the bag
  • A wrist strap for the device
  • A cleaning cloth
  • USB Charging Cable
  • HDMI cable
  • Charging cradle for the batteries
  • Two Li-Ion batteries

Although a wrist strap is included in the delivery, we can again offer you our Thermal Neckband recommend. You can simply attach to the device and hang the device around your neck – this makes it much more comfortable. This way, you have your hands free when you need them and you don't have to worry about losing your device in the dark of night if it slips out of your hand.

The features of the Infiray Finder FH50R V2 in the test

The Infiray Finder FH50R V2 is, despite a weight of just under 500 g, still very compact and above all robustThe IP67-protected housing and the optimized silicone buttons remain Non-slip and easy to use at low temperatures. Thanks to its compact size, the device fits in any pocket and is a good companion, especially for the military police among you – more on that later. The lens cover is made of plastic and has a clever magnetic closure – make sure that you do not accidentally push the cover in front of the reader rangefinder, otherwise it will be difficult to measure. The Diopter adjustment can be operated via a single wheel – this allows you to adjust the visual acuity you need precisely. Additionally, underneath the device you have a mount for a tripod and access for an HDMI connection.

Further important features, which we have for you in Infiray Finder FH50R V2 test found, among others, the following:

  • Rubber coating on the eyepiece: The rubber coating on the eyepiece can be folded down and rotated. This means you can decide whether you want to put the camera on your left or right eye. Even if it's just a small detail, it works really well in practice. But make sure that you don't accidentally push the eyepiece rubber in front of the small sensor that detects whether you have the device on your eye or not - otherwise it won't be able to correctly detect whether the device is in use.
  •

  • Precise laser distance measurement: The Infiray Finder FH50R V2 has a laser rangefinder, allowing you to get precise measurement results without delay, both in single and scan mode. The manufacturer specifies a range of an impressive 800 meters - in our test we were able to measure up to 600 meters and had no problems.
  •

  • Many additional functions: With the FH50R V2, you have the convenience of a built-in storage area where you can safely store all your captured images and video recordings. In addition, the device is equipped with a built-in Wi-Fi module that allows seamless connection with Android or iOS smartphones and tablets for easy access and sharing.
  •

  • Removable battery system: As already mentioned by Infiray As usual, the Finder FH50R V2 also comes with one practical interchangeable battery system Two batteries are included in the delivery, so you don't have to worry about that. The manufacturer states 5 hours per battery, which gives you a total of 10 hours - but keep in mind that the manufacturer's specifications are always based on optimal conditions. For comparison: On our trip to the area, we were able to use the device for a good 3,5 hours with one battery.

Technical details of the Infiray Finder FH50R V2 tests

Due to the higher Basic magnification of 3, a 50mm lens and the 640mm sensor is the, who hunts in the field, with the Finder FH50R V2 clearly at an advantageThe enlarged aperture of F1.1 also enables optimal capture of details, even in difficult lighting conditions. Theoretically, you can use the zoom level up to a fourfold magnification. However, the image already becomes noisy here, which is why we see a zoom level of up to 2x as more realistic in active use. In general, however, you can expect very good quality - great!
