The Nocpix (formerly Infiray) Vista H50R in the test: These are the operating features

The Nocpix Vista H50R thermal imaging device impresses with a Variety of useful functions and well thought-out designIt is extremely compact – almost a little too compact – and is therefore perfect for use on the go. What we are particularly pleased about: The lens cap opens silently and close! That was feedback we gave on the prototype and it was implemented really well in the final design. Thumbs up from us!

The laser rangefinder is built into the bottom of the lens – more and more manufacturers are now implementing this in this variant. The device is easy to operate: There is an on/off button, a menu button and two further control buttons. On the eyepiece side, adjust the diopter compensation, which is particularly beneficial for people who wear glasses. In addition, the eyepiece rubber can be folded back and forth and rotated, which means it can be optimally adjusted for both the left and right eye.

At the bottom of the device is the Holder for the carrying strap, whereby we would like to Thermal Neckband recommend that fits perfectly. The Nocpix Vista H50R has its own battery system designed for up to 6 hours of continuous operation – a remarkable feat for a laser rangefinder with a 50mm lens.

Also new are the three image modes: purple, green and red. We can especially recommend the green mode, as it is particularly easy on the eyes for long observations. Another innovation is the possibility to view recorded images directly in the device. The Nocpix Vista H50R has a exceptionally large AMOLED display with a resolution of 2560×2560 pixels, which is a significant improvement over the traditionally small image sections of other devices – this is really a highlight of the Nocpix Vista H50R.

All in all that is Nocpix Vista H50R a sophisticated and user-friendly thermal imaging devicethat's really fun!

Technical details from the Nocpix Vista H50R Review

The Nocpix Vista H50R handheld is a High-end device that was clearly developed for field hunting. It has a 50 mm lens and a 640 sensor with a resolution of 640 x 512 and a pixel pitch of 12 micrometers. The four-fold basic magnification makes the device particularly suitable for the military police among you. The image section is quite small, but offers clear visibility over long distancesThe field of view of 15 meters is definitely less useful in dense forest, but it shows its strengths in open fields. Even in the second zoom level, the image remains clear and detailed, which makes it easier to target at long distances. So: thumbs up for field hunting!

Another highlight is the frame rate of 60 Hz, which enables a smoother image display than conventional devices, which often only work at 50 Hz. The image quality of the device itself is exceptional and delivers truly spectacular results. With a weight of 650 g including the battery, it is a bit heavier for a handheld device, but in combination with the technical equipment it offers first-class performance for field hunting.
