Pulsar Equip yourself with everything you need to start using the device straight away – every accessory has been thought of here. That's really great!

The features of the Pulsar Merger LRF XT50 in the test

The appearance and size of the LRF XT50 is very similar to its predecessor, the Pulsar Merger XL50 LRF. The included carrying strap is really useful in the field – so you can quickly switch to the rifle if necessary. The buttons are intuitive to use and the Lens flaps close super smoothly and noiselessly – here you don't need to worry about scaring away the game. The focus is adjusted using the rotating ring on the lens, while the eye relief and diopter compensation can be individually adjusted – both for those who wear glasses and those who don't – a really well thought-out solution!

  • Flexible battery system with light and shadow:
The Pulsar Merger LRF XT50 impresses with a sophisticated dual battery system, which consists of a built-in internal battery and a removable APS3 battery. According to the manufacturer, this combination ensures a Operating time of up to six hours. In our area test, the Running time, however, maximum five hours – which is still absolutely sufficient, especially if you have an additional replacement battery with you. Two replacement batteries are even included, which is ideal for extended use in the field. The system enables you to continue working quickly, even when the battery is empty – a real plus point for hunters who are out and about for long periods of time.

But that flexible energy system also has its downsides. The structural arrangement of the APS3 battery makes it susceptible to dust and moistureIf the battery is rarely changed, the seals can stick together, making it difficult to remove the battery. The dual system also has a crucial limitation: while the removable APS3 battery can be easily replaced, the built-in battery can only be replaced at a service point.

So you see: The The Merger LRF XT50 battery system is well thought out and practical, but not without weaknesses. There is definitely still room for improvement!

  • T-sensor made in Europe with integrated image stabilization – Pros and Cons:
The Merger LRF XT50 sets standards in image quality with its T-Sensor manufactured in Europe. an impressive resolution of 1280 x 1024 pixels and a 12-micron pixel pitch, the sensor in conjunction with the high-quality AMOLED display delivers razor-sharp and detailed images, especially when depicting game.

But there is also a small dark side: While the attention to detail of the pieces is convincing, the contours of the surroundings partially under, which can make the overall image appear somewhat blurred. This can be unusual at first, especially when navigating the terrain, and requires some getting used to.

Nevertheless, it should be noted that this is criticism at a high level. The excellent image quality and the integrated image stabilization, which effectively compensates for camera shake, make the LRF XT50 a technically sophisticated device that is convincing both in theory and in practice.

  • Comfortable viewing:
The timeless design the thermal imaging binoculars Pulsar Merger LRF XT50 combines elegance and functionality, complemented by excellent ergonomics and an impressive viewing experience that meets even the highest demands. Since humans naturally see with both eyes, the binocular concept offers a more natural and significantly more relaxed viewing experience compared to using a monocular on one side. In addition, the distance between the eyes can be individually adjusted so that the device can be optimally tailored to the user's personal needs.

The robust housing weighs less than 1 kilogram, making it easy and comfortable to transport. Combined with the anthracite grey design, this gives the Merger LRF XT50 a sleek and modern look - a perfect blend of style and practicality.

  • Precise laser rangefinder – an indispensable feature:
The Merger LRF XT50 impresses with a integrated laser range finder, which measures distances with impressive precision up to 1.500 meters. This feature offers invaluable advantages to both hunters and nature observers, as the representation of a thermal image often deviates from reality and size and distance relationships are difficult to estimate. This is where the laser rangefinder of the LRF XT50 shows its strengths: It enables reliable distance measurements and can be used flexibly in single measurement mode or in scan mode. A clear advantage for safe decisions and precise approaches in the hunting area!
  • Proximity sensor / eye sensor:
As with the previous version, the Merger LRF XT50 is equipped with equipped with a proximity sensorThis automatically activates the display as soon as the device is brought to the eyes and puts it into standby mode when it is put down again. This keeps the device discreet and energy-saving when used.

The Pulsar Merger LRF XT50 is a powerful thermal imaging device, which is ideal for hunting in stock as well as in fields and meadows. With its high-resolution HD sensor and a sensitivity of less than 40 mK, it delivers razor-sharp images - even in adverse weather conditions.
