The Pulsar Telos XG50 in review

In our test today we have again a Device from the Pulsar-Families this: the Pulsar Telos XG50. With a relatively large basic magnification and a resulting rather small field of view The device is aimed at the military police between you.

The features of the Pulsar Telos XG50 in review

The Pulsar Telos XG50 immediately stands out due to its size. With a Weight of 660 g it is not a light device, which can be noticeable in the arms during longer use – especially since it is a monocular. The symmetrical arrangement of the controls but allows comfortable handling with both hands. The User interface is customizable, so that the functions can be set according to individual preferences. The zoom and focus rings are located at the front of the lens, which is very practical. The permanently installed hand strap can be attached to either the left or right side. In addition, the Eyepiece rubber adjustable, making the device equally suitable for left- and right-handed users. The lens cover is also excellently implemented: The cover opens silently and is firmly attached so that nothing rattles. Overall, a very well thought out construction. Top! In terms of imaging performance The Telos XG50 offers a pleasantly bright image and impresses with its wide range of setting options. The detection range refers to objects that are at least 1,80 m in size. Since game structures are usually smaller, the Telos XG50 is well suited for detection up to 400 meters and in the range between 50 and 250 meters it is particularly suitable for reliably identifying the species of game. The battery of the Pulsar As usual, Telos XG50 impresses with its high endurance. The new, sophisticated charging system allows the battery to be charged directly via a USB input, which is particularly practical.

 

  • StreamVision App: Initially, the StreamVision app from Pulsar some difficulties and did not work optimally. Our test of the Pulsar However, Telos XG50 shows that these Problems are now resolved. App now runs very stable in conjunction with the device. This means you can easily play back images and videos on your smartphone or tablet. The device itself has 64 GB of storage space, which offers enough space to capture your most exciting hunting moments.

    The laser itself has our Test passed absolutely: The range was really great at 400 m – only at 1000 m you might need a rest so that you can hold your hand a little more still.
