NEW LEVEL OF THERMAL IMAGING TECHNOLOGY

The Pulsar Axion XQ38 has a highly sensitive thermal image sensor with 384 x 288 px resolution and 17 µm pixel interval. The sensor detects temperature differences below 40 mK and ensures perfect detail recognition even in the harshest weather conditions and low thermal contrast. The smallest temperature differences are clearly visible in rain, fog or cold mornings in the most difficult conditions for thermal imaging devices.

Lightweight and robust magnesium alloy housing
The housing made of a light magnesium alloy ensures high dimensional stability and robustness. The light weight of the monocular scope makes it a perfect option for long outdoor trips when a lightweight yet powerful device is required.

Detection range up to over 1350 meters
A powerful F38/1.2 objective lens combined with a highly sensitive 384 x 288 px 17 µm thermal imaging sensor provides exceptional detection capabilities. A standard 1,8m high object can be detected in complete darkness at a distance of up to 1350m.

Image Boost Technology
The proprietary Image Boost technology from Pulsar consists of software algorithms designed to improve image sharpness and overall image detail. Image Boost results in a sharper, more detailed field of view and improved object identification capabilities.

3 second start time
Thanks to the pioneering technology, the Axion can be switched on almost immediately. Fast startup extends battery life and extends overall operating time. Thanks to instant start-up, the device can be activated quickly when every second counts.

IPX7 Complete waterproofing
IPX7 Complete waterproofing to protect against heavy rain, snow or other precipitation. The device is designed to function properly for up to 1 minutes even after being submerged in water up to 30 meter deep.

HD AMOLED full color display
The new HD display offers a clear, high-contrast and colorful field of view. AMOLED technology ensures error-free, stable, high-resolution images and energy savings.

color palette
The 8-color palette improves viewing in various conditions. While the classic White Hot mode is exceptionally versatile, Hot Black is often preferred for nighttime wildlife detection. Red monochrome reduces or prevents bright backlight from exiting the eyepiece. Sepia often improves long-distance viewing, while Red Hot, Rainbow and Ultramarine improve the temperature differences of various object attributes. Purple helps identify objects more quickly.

B-Pack mini APS5 battery system
The quick-change, high-capacity Li-ion battery provides 5 hours of operation on a single charge. Quick and easy battery replacement combined with immediate activation ensure continuous and error-free observation. A regular power bank connected via a USB Type-C port can be used as an external power source.

Variable digital zoom from 3,5x to 14x
Up to 4x digital zoom provides improved focus and better overall object detection at significant distances. The zoom changes either gradually in 2x steps or continuously in order to obtain a truly optimal, individual field of view for the respective situation.

observation modes
Image optimization should be carried out depending on the surrounding location and environmental conditions. Mountains, cities and forests have different ambient temperatures. In order to achieve the highest possible image quality, certain settings have been optimized and combined into profiles. This makes it easier to optimize imaging under different conditions. The identification preset is another option for optimal imaging, making identification easier even over longer distances.

Picture-in-picture function
Picture-in-Picture displays an enlarged image in a frame 10% of the field of view in the upper display field in order to zoom in more precisely on the object being observed.

Video and still image capture
The built-in video recorder is a great asset when it comes to filming or photographing unique experiences. One press of the REC button captures footage that can be easily shared with colleagues, friends and family. 16GB of internal storage provides hours of recorded video and tons of photos.

Stadiometric rangefinder

The stadiometric rangefinder is a dynamic distance measuring scale that can be used to determine the approximate distance to objects with a known height of 1,7 m (deer), 0,7 m (wild boar) and 0,3 m (hare).
