The Nocpix Lumi L35R in the test: Operating features

The Nocpix Lumi L35R impresses with a compact design, which makes it ideal for your jacket pocket. Thanks to its ergonomic design, it sits comfortably in the hand. Particularly practical: the rotating eyepiece rubber reduces side glare and can be adjusted individually. In addition, the easily adjustable diopter compensation enables clear vision - even for those who wear glasses - great!

  • The Operation is well thought out and simple: The power button either activates the device or puts it into standby mode. Digital zooming is done using the front arrow button, while a longer press starts the laser rangefinder. The middle button is used to adjust the color palette and, if held down, takes you to the main menu. Photos and videos can be easily taken using the rear button. A However, a small disadvantage is apparent when using it with gloves – the keys are difficult to feel, the manufacturer could improve this.
  • Data transfers are easy via the USB-C port, either directly to the computer or via the new Nocpixapp that is an optimized version of the Infirayapp. At the bottom of the device is the holder for the carrying strap - we recommend the Thermal Neckband, which is a perfect match.
  • The Focusing is done via the proven rotating ring for lens adjustment on the front part of the device. The magnet on the lens cap ensures that it remains securely attached to the side - so there is no annoying dangling and no noise that could scare away the game.

Technical details from the Nocpix Lumi L35R test – accuracy at a high level

The Nocpix Lumi L35R has a 384 sensor and a comparatively narrow field of view of 13 meters, which makes it particularly suitable for hunting and open areas in forest and meadow areas predestined. The 4x basic magnification ensures a detailed representation of the game. Due to the limited field of view, the device is less optimal for stalking. With a detection range of up to 1800 meters and selectable zoom levels of 4x, 8x, 12x and 16x, it offers flexible application options. While the image quality remains impressive at the first two zoom levels, it decreases slightly from 12x onwards, causing the image to lose some of its sharpness. The integrated laser rangefinder can measure distances of up to 800 meters, but the measurement accuracy can be impaired in high humidity or fog. The Battery life is about 4 hours, but can be flexibly expanded thanks to the simple battery replacement system, which is an advantage for longer operations.
